Some time ago I made and released an update for Laz Rojas WolfenDOOM scenarios, Original and Nocturnal Missions for ZDoom. See original thread here:

http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=31848

Then I began working on one for EDGE. This ones also includes an update for Spear of Destiny and is overall much more extensive than the ZDoom version.

Initial version: http://www.mediafire.com/?trix5529ghm92s0

Updated version: http://www.mediafire.com/?u5gve256c7wfefh

Updated version changes: No intermission screen when finishing Spear of Destiny floor 18, quit sounds sorted out, hit points for bosses decreased. Other minor changes.

You will need EDGE 1.35 (or later) and an Doom 2 IWAD, everything else is included within the package.

Enjoy!

P.S. concerning the (in)famous WolfenEDGE, I might consider releasing what I've done. But it will be "as is". I already did release the resources some time ago.

Curious, what was the error?

Edge error

This version of EDGE cannot handle this RTS script
Error occurred near line 9 of .\doom ddf\rscript.rts
line contents: #VERSION 1.36

*face palm*

Let me guess, edit the BAT file right?

EDIT 05/09/12 1750hrs

Nope

Interesting. I do know the RTS script code is a little messy, I never "cleaned" it but I do not know what problem EDGE 1.36 would have with it.

By the looks of things, there will be a third (and hopefully) final update. A few issues I feel need to be resolved and I will be adding support for Laz Rojas' Halten Sie!.

If there is anything you would like to see added/changed/removed, now is the time to speak up. Just as long as it is nothing that involves editing the actual levels, which is something I will not do.

This release runs just fine with 1.36C, just verifying for everyone. Not sure what happened Z, try installing a fresh copy of EDGE 1.36C.

I would love to add Astrostein support, that 3 part series was pretty fun. The mod works and runs great, by the way!

Nice to see some EDGE lovin'. Cool

The Astrostein series was made with the 128x128 map format. It makes the player feel tiny. My goal is to focus on the 64x64 mapsets Laz did.

Unless there is a way to make the player (much) taller along with the viewheight.

There is, I used it with Hypertension.

I wonder if he created the levels himself or ran the original Wolf levels through a converter..? EDIT: Found the program to do that.

Also, just having fun:

AND, I ran Laz' Second Encounter through WolfenEDGE and this was the result, I also corrected the viewheight slightly.

Then, I did some painful model work by combining the RTCW mp40 and an old mp40 Q2 model together, end result:

It was the BAT file. The 3dge exe is called edge2, not edge136.

As for the error message, that could be due to a messed up ddf file, possibly due to Doom2.5 mod, although I'm still not certain.

Third version dusted off and released Very Happy

http://www.mediafire.com/?coe7r2jpgzvooba

The only major difference is the additional support for Laz Rojas' Halten Sie! scenario (included), all else is small fixes and changes.

EDIT 06/11: Becuase of me being too hasty and in the process forgetting to test one of the scenarios I had to fix something and re-upload the whole lot. If you downloaded the first one, please replace it with this one.
